You raise me up

Soft on the inside, prickly on the outside.

Daddy, you were really the one who raised me up when I was at the lowest and weakest point.
When I was crying, about to give up because I thought that no amount of medicine could cure me anymore,
no positive mindset nor attitude would help me get through this hurdle anymore,
you gave me your big and warm hand and held mine tightly assuring me that everything will be okay.

Mummy, although you were busy with work and taking care of your 3 little kids and cooking,
you still took care of me, made sure I had proper and adequate meals to keep my stomach filled just so that I can take my medicine and feel better and recover.
You cooked plain and healthy meals for me, and compromised with my light and bland diets.
You were the one who told me that I could approach you at any time in the night as long as I don't feel well.
You hugged me and assured me that I will be okay.

Da Jie, thank you very much for your little actions that really helped a great deal.
I was so weak to even scan in stuff for my project to be sent to Liwei and Char but you helped me when I requested for your help.
You didn't avoid me just because I was having some bad flu, cough and stomach problems but you treated me just like your lil sister.
Doted on me.

Lynette, thanks for always always and I mean always replying to my negative tweets.
Although we're in different phases of our lives now, you never seem to care a bit lesser about me.
You still posted a pic of us to cheer me up, to get me through the day.
Motivational partner who always push me to work harder for a better future. First was to JC and now to Uni.
I'll never ever forget your dad's advice till today. Deeply etched in my mind.
You even called me when I asked if I could talk to you. I was really touched.

Li wei, thank you so much for the constant support be it through words of encouragement or taking the initiative in asking me what more can you help for our project.
If BFS were to award the "Most Hardworking Student Award", I'm sure no one else but you best fit the bill for this.
You didn't mind even if you had other school commitments, you just wanted to help and play a part in this project as much as you can.
And you're always SO CUTEE! Cause you always ask me for permission to go and bath or eat and I know it's an act of politeness to let me know and excuse you for a while but it's really DAMN CUTEEE!
It's just in you I guess, bubbly.
You are really 1 of my pillars of strength.

Charmaine Chua Wan Ni, thank you so much for being my best bud, BFF, through thick and thin really.
They always have this saying where "Good friends buy food for you, but Best friends snatch food from you." and I guess that really applies and defines our friendship. <3
Your message which came in this morning really made me so touched that I teared upon reading it.
I mean, it really had such a great impact on me when I was really sick and thinking that you're my best friend.
