Happy 21st Birthday Calla Sng Xin Ruuuuu!!!!

Everyone has their 21st, and so here is Calla's...

Happy girl cutting the banana choc cake from Cedele's!
 Sweet kisses from the siblings!
 Clique's pic!
Heh heh heh! Like the lighting of this pic!

 GRR face!
Melvin, seriously?! Best at doing funny faces, entertaining expressions that makes everyone laugh!
 The couplesssss~
And we started taking pics in the air-conditioned toilet after playing catching!

Damn tired right now, just applied for SIM-UOL, afraid that no local uni would get back to me.
But I thought for the WORST this afternoon, that if I didn't apply in time I would just wait for another year and will continue working part-time but of course not in the current company.
Was told that I would be busy tmr with my supervisor, really hope it is able to occupy me throughout the day.
YAYYYY! It's mid-week. Wednesday~
Seems like I'm slowly getting use to the working lifestyle.
Sudden craving for macs I don't know why.
Have been msn-ing with Char and Keith a lot during work, and unfortunately, caused char to be caught by her supervisor.. Le sighhh (the way char does it)
TW trip in another 17 days! Time to come up with the packing list with the girlssssss.
Pray hard that I would remain healthy and fine for the 11 days, no diarrhea, no food poisoning, no cramps, no fever, no flu, no nothing. PLS PLS!
I need my well-deserved break.
Goodnight BYEEE!

I need romance.

Just finished watching "I need romance" or rather "In need of romance" on SCV Channel 825.
I started taking notice of this show cause of the male lead character which appeared in the previous K drama, Princess Hours! He's cute to me!!! HEHE!
However, this show is NC16 cause there are numerous making out scenes as well as conversations about sex and relationship topics.
Initially, my sis told me it was a failed korean version of "Sex and the City" (cause I think they were trying to attain the same kinda theme/plot), but the plot took a turn during the last 10 episodes which kept me so glued to watching it every week. And I only started watching from episode 7/8.
And the thing about this show is that there are only 2 episodes played every week on 825 so I'll only be able to catch 2 episodes and have to wait another week for the consecutive ones! > <
And this is something which I dread and I think every drama fan dislike too, especially when the show reaches a climax. Like you just wanna know what happens next.
Okayyy, but now after finishing the 16 episodes serial, the feeling of reluctance to the end of this show, the 依依不舍的感觉 starts to kick in. =(
HEHE! But anyway, this show is really worth the watch! With 3 main female leads talking about their different love lives and their experiences, and eventually how they chose their romance.
Highly recommended! Outta 5, I would give this show a 3 and a half! More snapshots of the show at the bottom of this post! Enjoy!!

 The main cast!
The 3 BFFs!
The romantic couple, the rebound guy, but not my fave couple. Cause,
my fave couple is
.........

When they were younger, teenagers I think.
Those who are meant to be, will eventually be together again, and that's what happens in the show. Haha, ok shall not reveal so much!
And this was the drama which reminded me of my past relationships, haha! When I was watching, it felt as though my history was unfolding right in front of my eyes. Like dramas tend to exaggerate and paint a rosy portrait of love always, very fantasy-like and fairytale, but this serial doesn't which got me so hooked onto it! <3333
Who knows, I may be crazy enough to purchase the DVD.

Sunkissed dress in tangerine!

Hehe! So happy cause I was greeted with my tangerine dress that I've won from The Stage Walk all thanks to Jamie once I reach home from work!

And I didn't go to work today cause I woke up to a swollen eye. I guess it is caused by tiredness, heaty food (1 of my colleagues just came back from m'sia and bought lots of snacks and my neighbour keep offering them to me!), and constant rubbing of my left eye with dirty hands. =X time for some rest before I get recharged and go back to work.

Still need some time to gain back the momentum, waking up at 7+ to prepare to go to work and returning home only at 7. Sitting in front of a com doing routine work and performing admin stuff. Lunching out with my colleagues at 1pm etc. I'm so glad i've got really friendly colleagues although majority of them are Malaysians. They're still very approachable. Cause initially I was still thinking if I'll feel left out and can't clique w them. It takes time I guess!

TW trip in another around 3-4 weeks! Can't wait and it's time to think of our To-bring list!

Am so glad that char found a job and is gonna start work next week. Feel happy for her that she found a job to better spend her holidays and earn $$ for our TW trip! Really wish you all the best in your new workplace and hope you will meet temp staff also and kill all the awkwardness asap! ^^

Ok JYJY for our holiday jobs! Looking forward to Calla's 21st this sat and Cathay Dimsums w the Mah family!

Dilemma

I've started working. I've found a job all thanks to Char. But, I'm quite sad and at the same time feel cheated because the company initially wanted to hire 2 people but in the end only chose to hire 1. Cause they wanna save cost? I'm not sure. But I heard that I'm the first, 1 and only temp. staff in the company. =O
Does that makes me special, or even more like a weirdo in the company?

First week of work, to be more specific, first 2 days of work and I'm complaining already. HAHA. I guess it takes time, so I shall not judge so quickly cause it doesn't do my any good at all. (this phrase sounds weird)
Shall try to adapt to the quiet culture and finish all my admin stuff before I get my hands on more interesting stuff such as reviewing and filling up forms for customers. Totally love it when my supervisor said, "Next week I'm gonna review with you the DBS application process." In my heart I was like WOOOO~! I did that last time during my intern, just last year actually!! Except that I was doing it on the bank side, so all the more I would know what has to be done, every single detail to be filled up, before sending it back to DBS for approval. It really feels good when you know you have the upper hand, or rather the advantage to it.

Just now towards end of work, I suddenly miss Jean, Rafeah and Rudi sososo much I wish I can be working with them instead. In such a lively culture, with more interaction, more welfare, more food, more noise, more interns and so much more to learn and experience.

Oh but I really like the location of my office. It's situated at IBP, which is Jurong East!
2 stops away from Gombak. With shuttle services to places around JE for lunch. But my lunch is only 1 hour.
Ok now to a lil bit more about my company. It's a private company, I won't mention the name.
But the whole company, or rather almost all the staff (80-90%) comes from Malaysia. =X
Makes me feel even more like an outcast. Ok la but my neighbour was really nice to start talking to me and even bringing me for lunch.

But come to think of it, I've kinda lost my freedom and I can't really do anything I want at anytime, on weekdays esp.
Meeting up with Keith, with friends, going for facial, do my nails, shop alone, exercising etc.
Sighhh, but I really wanna spend more more more time with Keith before he goes for NS.
Can't wait for TW trip right now, my only motivation and the only thing that I look forward to!
So gonna enjoy myself there! HEHE 9 days of leave, shiok notsxz!
Ok, so for now I really hope that I can quickly adapt to the new work environment.
And work w/o food is really such a boo-boo.
So I stocked up on my food (snack) supplies in my drawer in office!
Requested to buy a tin of biscuits while doing grocery shopping this morning.
And mummy bought packets of cereal drink for me! ^^

Ok, now for some random pics of the week!
Terrific Tuesday:
Brought keith to try the legendary Artease at Tanjong! Hehe 1 of our (interns) fave hangout place while working last time. He wanted to try the pudding milk tea but I think the traditional milk tea with pearls taste the best! Cause the pudding taste kinda salty and funny.
And so, Life without tea is such an arse!
 Cool colour blocks uh!
Went to sing K and watch Act of Valor too! HAHA best arrangement. Cause the both of us get to do the things we each wanna do and we're so happy to have worked things out! I guess it was really a whole new experience to sing K with just him alone. It was fun as well. But I think we can only sing for short hours so that we won't strain our throats or vocal chords.
And I was so lucky cause my thing came on this day. And upon hearing this, keith rushed me to the nearest watsons to get pads! Thankssss I really felt very =')

Wet Wednesday! (cause it was raining in the morning!)
Went for interview with Char before going to IMM for LJS lunch!

Splendid Saturday!! ^^
 Longest list of receipt!
And naughty Mavis must have thrown my sample pack on the floor which "agitated" Milo and he started biting it! And so I told her "Aiyoooo Mavis, he's a guy lei! Why do you even let him bite a female's stuff!?!?"
Busted $70 on gelish manicure and don't ask me why I did that just felt like making my nails but didn't wanna travel all the way to Chinatown. But this shop really abit scammy and the manicurist is very pushy. =/ First visit and she already ask me to buy the package. Really a bit too much ahh.. I just wanted to try their service but that hard sales was just, such a turn off and makes me don't wanna visit the shop anymore.

 Tried smiling w/o teeth.
And mummy came in cause she asked, "Very nice meh keep camwhoring alone??"
And so she took the lead with this =P pose and I did the same!
She say, I wanna blow bubble and that explains our puffed up face.
K I look really ugly here.
And super blur here.
So,,, do I look like my mum?

Need a job real soon!

Ok, so as you can see I've got dark brown marks on my face which are pimple marks caused by exertion of force to squeeze out my pimples on Monday! >< Super painful, and I've been feeling quite bad about it cause of how obvious they are!
From this, become................
Ok I know that my pics are super act cute but I was simply too bored the other day and so I started camwhoring and add all these animations with my iphone app.

Colourful XLBs with a variety of flavours!
It was on Monday when we had our epic dinner! Cause apparently my cousin Jian Hui met up with me, his mum (my aunt- Ah Ngoh Yi), and Cheryl Tan.
I can't really remember the exact name of this restaurant but I think it is really famous for its colourful XLBs!
Some of it taste exotic though. But I picked the orange one to try and it was prawn roe! Quite nice!
Other than the XLBs, the other dishes were relatively nice too! It's just that all of the dishes seem to have soup inside. Be it guo tie or dumplings or baossss.
And all thanks to the soup it made my dining etiquette FAILL~
However, I really enjoyed the dinner while chatting with them even though I was in my ugliest and drowsy state right after facial at Yishun.
Thanks darling cousin for the treat! ;)

Feeling kinda sleepy right now. I really needa get a job soon, cause if not I've been spending a lot and WILL STILL BE spending a lot during the holidays! =/
Submitted my resume to the recruit agent, hope she gets back to me asap with a job offer, or accept me and ask me to go for an interview or best if she asks me to start work!
But my hair is in a bright colour now that it may not be a very good time to go for interview... Hmmm.

Taiwan Trip, Planning in progress!

Ok so I've been busy thinking and planning the 11-days TW trip together with the girls as well as keith.
11 days is really a lot, no joke and we gotta spread out our daily activities properly so as to ensure that we have enough time for each activity and at the same time we do not tire ourselves out.
They always say that planning a trip yourself and customizing it is more fun than going on tour.
Yep, I agree to a certain extent.. But it's challenging as well cause there are so many factors to consider.
Cost, location, time, convenience, feasibility etc.
Have been reading reviews online and it seems like it's not very reliable to do online booking for our accommodation so I guess it's better if we do a verification thereafter or just call them.
It really feels like a big project work, HAHA! But of course not school-related but more of fun and leisure.
I guess it's a whole new experience when you plan your own trip and sometimes get lost some where in a foreign island and try to get outta the situation using your navigation skills, technical skills, interpersonal skills (Chinese A1 is me), and street smart skills.
HAHA I tell you it's so difficult to draft out an email to converse with the people over there for enquiries. And I'm really impressed with LW's chinese communication skills. (Y) Zai.

So the initial plan was just to visit 2 states which is Taipei and Taichung.
We've decided our accommodation which is the Taipei Backpackers apartment. =)
After asking her for recommendations, she said that we should try going to maybe Tainan instead of Taichung as the places of attractions in Taichung can be done in Taipei and the ones in Taipei are more attractive.
But the distance is a concern to us, cause it's all the way at the other end of TW, very near to Kaohsiung already. And we still have to travel back to Taoyuan Airport on our last day.
So, our next alternative is Hualien.
But it really depends on the cost and accessibility of this state!
Hope to stay in their 名宿!
Hualien Sunrise Minsu.
It's a themed kinda cottage stay?
I'm not too sure but just from quoting from what I heard.

Met up with LW and Char for jogging today at 10am.
We went to Gombak Stadium to realise that it has been booked by the German European School for their sports day. ZZZ! Plan failed.
But I wasn't too upset/ disappointed because I was told that with my blotched up face (After exfoliation from facial), I have to take extra care of my face and prevent from sunlight (as it may cause scars on my pimple marks). WOW, sounds scary right? =/
Yep so I suggested to LW that we go have Macs breakfast and discuss our itinerary thereafter.
Quite satisfied cause we already came out with our Day 1-7 itinerary in Taipei itself and how to get around using the Metro.
All thanks to past tour experiences from bloggers/related people whom we know.
We're able to plan our trip better, and have a better control over time management.
WEEE and we've made our 30% deposit to Taipei Backpackers for our 8-days in Taipei.
The thing that I really like about this hostel is that the owner is very friendly and sincere by giving us lots of recommendations and tips regarding places to go and how to go there. ^^
Hope we get at least a 2-levels room for our 4-bedder!
But ok la don't place too high expectations first to avoid disappointments!

Went for facial yesterday after like 6 months and my face now has obvious red marks.
Wonder when will they recover fully, just hope it will asap! ><
I'll blog more often since it's hols now.
Was hesitating to look for a job cause of the date clashes with my TW trip and with QH's job offer and etc.
I really really pray hard that I can get into at least a local uni, although I know that my chances are as good as nil.

Been going out these few days, $$ depleting very quickly. =S
Needa earn $$ soon to finance my TW trip!

On Saturday, finally met up with Yuwei and Huazhong for dinner + catch-up session!! ^^
 HZ's fish + peri-peri chicken!

Initially I thought it would be awkward meeting the both of them after so long, but honestly I didn't feel awkward at all! Instead I've enjoyed myself so much talking and camwhoring with them!!
Thank you so much, for organizing this meetup and making it all so awesome!

On sunday, met up with Pris, Fiona, Marcus, QH, HJ, Joel, Bryan & ZY to celebrate 3 of the March babies birthday ^^
So we went to Katong for lunch at Sushi Tei! I tried the Nabeyaki udon (sounds like some bad words, but tasted VERY good with eggs inside!)
Went for Kbox afterwards at Scape! Simply cause Teo Heng @ Katong is full, no more rooms and we didn't book the room before hand.
The bus trip to town was fast yet slow. Fast cause the route is short, slow because the bus driver was driving at a speed of like 50km/h.
Ok, so with the use of 3 Kala cards we managed to share and split the cost for the remaining 5 of us at Kbox.
With only < 2 hours, we made full use of the time and sang our hearts out. HAHAHA DAMN FUN LAAAA!
Esp singing "I don't wanna miss a thing", and pris and qh were able to bring up the atmosphere! ^^

Okok, I think I shall end the very long and outdated post here. Thanks for reading!
