Hi guyssss! How's february so far? Hope it has been a good one!

But if not, I'm sure March will be a better one so look forward to the start of a new month!!

Today, I would like to blog about something I'm thankful for which happened in my life but yet still find it kinda unbelievable..

And that is, 

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Yep that's right, my secondary school friends.

My clique of used-to-be very close friends during secondary school times but we kinda distanced ever since graduation and after we move on to our next phase of tertiary education.

I'm not sure if it is the same for all of them but this is how it occurred to me or rather how I personally feel about our friendships.

HAHA, sounds really serious for a sec and as though this is some kinda confession session.

Nah, not really, it's more of an appreciation, counting my blessing as of now.

Looking back at how He have arranged and has the best planning for me which I don't see then..

 I can't seem to tilt this pic :(((

I believe that friendships, or any types of relationship, is a mutual kinda thing.

It requires maintenance such as effort and time spent together to keep it going.

And I am ashamed to say that, 4 years ago, I did not do my part as a friend to keep in close contact or rather constant contact with all of my good friends.

Priscilla, Fiona, Huimin, Wanting...

Qiheng, Joel, Zhongyan, Bryan, Marcus, Haojie...

Except for Michelle, my bestie, whom I've always been close to throughout these years but got even closer recently too ^^

I just let it slipped by me and I didn't really think that I could have lost this friendship then..

Now, when I try to recall what could have been the possible causes of my negligence then, the only possible reason that I came up with, was my time spent in poly and the workload.

I could only spend majority of my time in school or outside school but with the usuals (char, liwei, keith, jasper, calla, ningwei etc.).

Like I keep joking with liwei and char that we see each other so much that we can puke at the sight of each other's faces and we are such no-lifers hanging out in school or around school to do projects or MUGGG together.

HAHA, quite funny... But I really did enjoy the times spent with them as well. My bestest girls in poly, liwei and char who stood by me through thick and thin (and I really mean THICK and THIN)

Even our T.G.I.Fs were spent together in town shopping!

So, this is the turning point, where everything starts to piece back together.

During year 3, I seem to always bump into my secondary school mates coincidentally, be it in school or outta school and we started talking again.

From hi-bye, to small talks, to casual chats, to inviting me for clique meet-ups, to reminiscing the past.

It was really breaking the ice and getting through the awkward stage, to what we use to have in the past.

I really really treasure the bonds we have now. =3

And am really thankful that they have never ever leave me out, or rather is more than willing to accept me back again.

And I really didn't think that we can be as close or maybe even closer now!

And like what you always say, NPY, "Distance doesn't measure how close 2 persons are, nor the frequency of meet-ups, it's just a feeling that stays between these 2 people."

But yet meaningful to me ^^

And I always like sleeping over at her place, gives me a very warm feeling when I'm with her!

Girls just wanna have fun!

I'm a victim of the bed bug =(

Yes it is that microscopic.

Oh my goodness, I'm really a victim of this thing called the bed bug.....

I feel so disturbed yet helpless about this because it is not easy to rid off and is difficult to find its nesting.

And now even as I'm typing this post, I feel the itch all over. 

Uncertain of whether I'm being mind-effed or it really is the case that the bed bug bites are killin me softly (with the itch)

My first encounter with it was probably 2 months ago? Like on my comforter when I was lazing on my bed in the late night.

These pests are nocturnal so it makes it even harder to catch them when it's daytime, when I'm awake considering that I seldom stay up late.

And the first time when I saw it, I identified it through my knowledge from watching animal planet (this program called "monsters inside me" which features different personal recounts of pest attack) and also my best friend, Google.

And that was how I confirmed my finding.

As it was already past 12 midnight, I didn't want to wake my parents up to tell them about it and decided to only break the news to them the next morning.

However, my mum didn't quite believe me the next morning because she conducted a thorough search of my bed and bed surroundings for the bed bugs but to no avail.

And I had no evidence to show her because I was too shocked upon finding 1 on my bed and did not snap a pic of it nor catch it.

And so,,,,,,

Last night, when I was about to laze on my bed before falling asleep after a loooooong day, at around 2am,

I saw a more developed bed bug as compared to the one I first saw and confirmed that it was a bed bug given its distinctive body size and shape!

So it was a moment of like excitement and frustration.

YAY cause I finally caught the culprit and it's enough evidence to make my parents believe the existence of this nocturnal stupid #@$#% pest feeding on their daughter's blood.

NAY cause it means I'll still be at risk and the sofa outside will be my temporary bed. ='(

BOOHOOHOO!!

And yea, I've started to read up on it and will eventually find a way to EXTERMINATE IT!

And the lil bug that I caught last night as a "specimen" is now hungry because there are "hunger bubbles" forming in its abdomen. Some small transparent bubbly stuff!

Playing hunger games with it now. OKAY I AM SO LAME.

This thing is just driving me crazy I gotta admit.

And I think the carrier of these bugs is the luggage which belongs to either 1 of my previous maids. ><

Possible symptoms of bites:

Red patches, itch, marks (looks like pimples) that stay for weeks, allergic reactions, psychological effects

Current Status of Patient (Evelyn Lie):

Itch, irritation, angsty, sleepy, feel as though there are creepy crawlies under my skin.

Company lunch with Daddy. Catch-up session with ex-colleagues in Ayam Bakar.

Eat, eat and eat. Non-stop. But had some fruitful gathering with each other's family and played card games together!

He's so heavy sometimes it gets rather straining on our arms when we carry him up!

And realise that both my outfit and my bedsheet has a similar theme, and that is floral.

That pretty much sums up my first 3 days of this festive season!

Everyone's back to work and school!

Purple purple! + Some other stuff..

YAY I AM SO HAPPY!

With my hair dye ^^

It's supposed to be pure purple but I guess cause my mum won't be able to tolerate such bright colours (on my head), my hairdresser decided to tone it down. It looks kinda black in pictures.

So she customised the colour and blend it in such a way that suits me the most!

I've been with this hairdresser for more than 2 years or so and I'm still as satisfied and happy!

Tried the most number of different hairstyles with her, first dyed my hair with her, first permed my hair with her, it's almost like I 

feel so secure to do whatever hairstyle or changes to my hair with her!

And she've figured out that my hair absorbs red better than any other colours after trying brown, red and purple this time

  The back view looks totally black!

 Can only be seen under sunlight~

 Less obvious under white light. Quite difficult to snap shots with the obvious purple colour showing!

 And oh no cryyyy ='(

I just set up my formspring account not long ago and now it requires logging in to start posting questions.

So it's as good as dead now. Ah well..

 And this was taken at pris' place with the girls. I still remember that we did a lot of funny stuff and striked different poses for the camera!
Although the last 2 years spent in Secondary school were stressful, but I think we managed to find some time out to purely have fun and get away from the books for awhile..

Just met her for lunch at Chargrill downstairs and we really didn't have enough time to talk properly as she was rushing for her 3:30 class! Arranged this before she goes back to M'sia for cny. I still miss you npy!
